Yes. In fact, it’s more common that you probably think. Although ED affects 26% of men before the age of 40, it does become more prevalent with age - affecting 70% of men by the age of 70.
What causes ED?
There are physical and psychological causes of ED. Poor cardiovascular health, high blood pressure, smoking, alcoholism, drug abuse as well as certain diseases such as obesity, diabetes Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, Peyronie’s disease and sleep disorders may cause to ED. Psychological disorders like depression, anxiety (including performance anxiety) and stress may also cause ED.

How can I prevent ED?
Lifestyle and nutrition are important factors that influence penile blood flow, testosterone levels and erectile function. There are some lifestyle modifications that are recommended to improve or restore erectile function:
Physical Activity: Make sure you do at least 30 minutes per day or 150 minutes per week of moderate intensity aerobic activity.
Weight Loss: Aim for a 5-10% weight reduction.
Diet: Increase consumption of fruit and vegetables, whole grains, and legumes. Limit red meat and processed food, reduce or avoid added-sugar beverages.
Alcohol Use: Avoid excessive alcohol consumption. No hangovers are a big win too.
Cigarette Smoking: Smoking cessation will have things looking up. If you know what we mean.
